Britain rejoices as new Princess is born

The nation celebrated this weekend as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed their daughter, Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.
The ‘Great Kate Wait’ ended on Saturday as it was announced that the Duchess had given birth to a healthy baby girl, weighing 3.7 kg (8lb 3oz) in the Lindo wing of St. Mary’s Hospital, London. The couple’s son, Prince George, later came to meet his baby sister amidst a flurry of the world’s press.
Kate was looking stunning as she emerged from the hospital to present the world with it’s newest princess, and the happy couple soon left to start their new lives as a family of four. MAMA Academy wish them all the best- we are overjoyed to welcome a new royal miracle!
If you have recently had a baby, there is lots of information on what to expect during the postnatal period, which can be an intense and emotional time for many new mums. Don’t forget to reach out to your midwife, health visitor and GP- and accept as much help as you can too. We’re sure the Duke and Duchess have lots of help lined up now that the royal baby is finally here, and we don’t blame them at all!
