Lily Allen's Song for Stillborn Son

Published on: 01/11/2015

Singer Lily Allen has revealed a new song written in memory of her stillborn son, who died in 2010.

The song, titled Something’s Not Right, was written for the soundtrack to the new Pan movie and contains heart-breaking lyrics:

“Something’s not right / There aren’t many stars in the sky tonight / Something’s not right / ‘Cause I know that it’s day but it’s dark outside / And I feel a weight in my heart tonight.”

Lily Allen announced her pregnancy in 2010, but sadly she contracted a viral infection at six months gestation and later lost her baby boy. The singer has since gone on to have two more daughters and continues to raise awareness of stillbirth in memory of her first born, pointing out “There are many women – 17 stillbirths in the UK everyday”.

She shared a link to the song on Twitter this week and asked her fans to donate to stillbirth and neonatal death charity SANDS, adding, “Please listen and if you fancy it, you could donate in his memory… much love, Lil.”
