Christmas babies for twin sisters

Published on: 04/01/2017

Kelly Ackrill and Ashleigh Davidson are twin sisters from Ivybridge in Devon.  This Christmas their families are celebrating two Christmas babies as they gave birth within hours of each other, on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.  They had discovered they were pregnant within days of each other but their due dates had actually been two weeks apart.  But when Kelly went into labour on Christmas eve, her sister followed soon behind!  Kelly’s son River was born at 6:40 pm on Christmas Eve and Ashleigh’s daughter Louella was born less than 24 hours later on Christmas day at 4:00 pm.

Ms Ackrill said: “We are really close, we spend a lot of time with each other – but this is amazing.”
