The Human Tissue Authority release new guidelines

The guidelines state that professionals working with women who experience a pregnancy loss or termination should be offered a choice about what happens to their baby’s remains.

HTA chief executive Alan Clamp said: ‘The loss or termination of a pregnancy, whatever the circumstances, needs to be handled sensitively by the professionals involved.… A woman’s understanding of the options open to her are of paramount importance and should be respected and acted upon.’
