Public Health England have released travel advice ahead of the Olympics in Brazil this summer, advising pregnant women to avoid visiting the area.

Amongst other recommendations, Public Health England are advising pregnant women to avoid non-essential travel until after pregnancy, due to the risk of the Zika virus to babies.

Whilst most events are scheduled to be held in Rio de Janeiro, other events will be elsewhere in Brazil, including the Amazon. The Games commence on the 5 August – 21 August, with the Paralympics Games shortly after starting on 7 September until 18 September.
