Always Ask

A new campaign, called ‘Always Ask’, has been launched with the aim of empowering women to overcome the fear of raising concerns with health professionals during pregnancy.

The campaign has been endorsed by the RCM, and produced in collaboration with Tommy’s, Kings College London and Babycentre. It aims to reduce the number of serious pregnancy complications and preventable loss.

It comes following recent Babycentre researching highlighting that more than 60% of women worry about wasting their Midwives’ time, preventing them from raising concerns.

Cathy Warwick, Chief Executive of the RCM commented on the campaign “Ensuring women know when to speak up and be able to do so is critical to delivering high-quality maternity services. This campaign will help to ensure that women and their midwives are better able to work in partnership to achieve that”
